In Celebration of The Palace Theatre's 80th Anniversary DAVID SYME FREE CONCERT
Date: Friday, April 18, 2008
Time: 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM
DAVID SYME is one of the great pianists of our time. He thrills audiences the world over with the sheer excitement and beauty of his playing, whether in a concert hall with a full symphony orchestra or with his own band in a convention center. He devours the music and captivates his listeners as he effortlessly glides from one musical style to another. This classically-trained master has represented the U.S. in international piano competitions, has played at Chopin's birthplace, and has appeared at Lincoln Center and Kennedy Center; he has played at major concert halls in 15 European countries, Canada and Mexico; but above and beyond his virtuosity he offers an engaging personality, a sharp wit and an entertaining show that is unique in its versatility.
You may have heard about DAVID SYME from one of his hundreds of radio appearances playing live listener requests on your local or network station; or you may have seen him on your ARTS or PBS television station playing with the Mexico City Symphony; or heard one of his 18 classical CD's with such orchestras as The Royal Philharmonic or Vienna Symphony.
